How AppLink Works

Requests received by the Dhrama Integrator from the e-business application will be distributed to one or more Applinks for processing.

Dharma AppLink receives queries from the Dharma Integrator and initiates the appropriate business transactions to fulfill the request. At times, a number of business transactions can be used to fulfill a particular request. Dharma AppLink uses its extensive business transaction optimization techniques to choose the business transactions that best manage network traffic, application server load and application transaction processing.

Business transaction results from multiple applications can be returned to the Dharma Integrator where they are unified. Any data type transformation, sorting or filtering required to satisfy the transaction request is done at this time.

The resultant information is then returned to the e-business application in a standardized format. The e-business developer does not need to understand the underlying applications or proprietary access methodologies.
